INTERACTIONS:
VISUAL Conversations
WITH URBAN Nature

The journey continues in 2025,
rooted in resilience.
November 10, KazaMaza

November 10   |   KazaMaza   | 4629 Park Ave, Montreal

On my daily city walks, I learned to slow down, noticing textures, shadows, and quiet details often unseen. With my mobile phone, I captured these moments — fragments of stillness, traces of renewal.

Amid concrete and noise, I found endurance in urban nature: weeds pushing through cracks, branches reclaiming walls, light softening hard edges. Resilience appeared not only as survival, but as transformation — the courage to grow where it is least expected.

This November, my exhibition, Interactions — Visual Conversations with Urban Nature, opens at Restaurant Kaza Maza — a space that celebrates social causes, inclusion, and artistic expression. It’s the perfect setting to reflect on resilience: in nature, in people, and in the human spirit that continues to find beauty and renewal everywhere.

I want to honour the Indigenous peoples and native plants of the lands I have walked, and the Indigenous peoples of the Middle East, whose ancestral lands, especially scarred by loss and destruction these past two years, remind us of the fragile bond between nature, memory, and survival. Their enduring presence and grace continue to inspire.

All my diptychs are editioned fine art prints, each limited to five numbered copies, and are available to order directly from the shop.

In admiration of INARA, 20% of all sales during November and December 2025 will support their life-changing work with displaced and vulnerable children and families across the Middle East. Their compassion and resilience are a testament to hope and courage.

As you explore these images, I invite you to slow down with me — notice the light, the shadows, and the colours — and see them as reflections of our shared strength. May this visual journey awaken a sense of renewal and quiet wonder.

“…a story of interaction that is both amusing and unexpected.”

Tatiana would like to thank her collaborators: Jennifer Morrow (LinkedIn), who helped bring the exhibition to life, and Sasha Boucicaut from Sasha Boucicaut Projects, who created the graphic design and branding.
